I visited Jump Juice Bar in Whitewater at around 3 p.m. today. There was only one member of staff serving, and although it was fairly busy and she appeared to be struggling to keep up with the orders, I still expected to receive the smoothie I had paid for.
I ordered a regular Protein Punch smoothie with spirulina added. When I received it, it didn’t taste right. It appeared that the spirulina hadn’t been added, as the smoothie was purple instead of green, and it also tasted as though the banana had been left out. Instead, it tasted like blended berry yoghurt.
I initially considered leaving it because I understood the staff member was under pressure, but I had paid for the drink and it wasn’t made correctly. I went back to explain the issue after another member of staff had returned from her break. She said it would be remade.
Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled was very disappointing. The staff member who had originally made the drink asked what the issue was, and after it was explained to her, she didn’t apologise or acknowledge the mistake. Instead, she gestured for me to hand over the drink and walked away abruptly to remake it without saying a word.
I work in customer service myself, so I completely understand how stressful busy periods can be. Mistakes happen, and I wouldn’t have minded if there had simply been an apology and a professional attitude. Instead, the lack of courtesy made the experience far more disappointing than the mistake itself. I hope this feedback encourages improvements in both quality control and customer service.
Hi Hannah,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your visit didn't meet your expectations.
We understand how disappointing it can be if an order doesn't seem quite right, and we appreciate you bringing your concerns to our team's attention while you were in store. While busy periods can sometimes be challenging, we always expect our team to treat every customer with courtesy and respect.
We've shared your feedback with the store management team so they can review what happened with the staff on duty and continue to support them during busy periods.
Kind regards,
Jump Juice Team
